After all the "preferred" candidates dropped out, the Liberal leadership race was seen as pretty talentless. Well if this story pulls through, this seems like a pretty good starting line-up. I wouldn't exactly put Rae in charge of the party platform or Iggy as deputy, but it seems like their roles could be more easily vetoed. Who knows. It's going to be an interesting election when it happens regardless. For the first time since I've been in this country, it seems there will be two national parties who are close to full strength without any major handicaps (sponsorship, regional party, desire for change etc).
